Parliamentary and Scientific Committee

The Society for Applied Microbiology is a supporter of the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee.

The Parliamentary and Scientific Committee is an All-Party Parliamentary Group, based within UK Parliament, that aims to provide a liaison between Parliamentarians and scientific bodies, science-based industry and the academic world. Founded in 1939, the Committee holds monthly meetings to discuss recent scientific and technological developments which can inform the development of national policy in areas of public interest. 

The Society for Applied Microbiology is a supporter of the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee and is represented on the Committee by Professor Mark Fielder.

The Committee's quarterly magazine, Science in Parliament, is available to read for SfAM members.
