Event description

This year, the ECS is hosting its 10th research symposium. Held fully online, this week-long program of talks, workshops and posters will be the biggest event we’ve held and the ECS committee hopes that you enjoy taking part as much as we enjoyed organising it. With opportunities to present, listen, network, tweet and everything in between, we’re determined to deliver more than the average symposium experience – more to do than sit in front of a screen.

Who will this event be of interest to?

This research symposium is of interest to all early career scientists from industry and academia. This includes everyone from undergraduates to first year post-docs and the industry equivalents. The event is great for sharing your work and meeting new, like-minded people as well as gaining inspiration for your research and inspiring others with your work.

Event format

This year the event is completely online with a full week of sessions that include, talks, posters and workshops. Each day includes an interactive workshop curated and hosted by the ECS committee.

The poster session will be an open Zoom meeting with rotating poster presenters. Each poster will be on the website with a link to the meeting and the time that poster will be presented so that delegates can jump in and out of the meeting as needed. We will also have Twitter posters - graphics, gifs, or short videos that will be tweeted throughout the Symposium to get your research out there. You can find out more on the abstracts page.
