The Society for Applied Microbiology supplied written evidence to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee inquiry into Science Communication in May 2016. As a charity, SfAM has an objective to use its funds for public benefit. Much of the activity within this objective is in the field of science communication and public engagement with science. This response highlights microbiology in the media and dicsusses the activities and support coordinated by the Society, as well as our collaborations with partner organizations.
