WH Pierce 1994: Ian Roberts

Ian was divisional head, research dean (2001-2005 and 2012-2016) and is currently a member of the Lydia Becker Institute of Immunology and Inflammation.

Ian was divisional head, research dean (2001-2005 and 2012-2016) and is currently a member of the Lydia Becker Institute of Immunology and Inflammation. He served on the BBSRC studentships and fellowships panel (2002-2013) and is an editor of Future Microbiology.

In 1994 he was awarded both the Fleming Lectureship and the Pierce Prize. He is currently the honorary treasurer of the Microbiology Society (2018-2021).
